As part of the ANR Silarchaeobio project, my role is to study plant macroremains in the laboratory, in particular carpological and anthracological remains. Through these analyses, the aim is to determine 1) whether or not the storage of grains in pits affects their morphology, and in what way, and 2) to determine whether the archaeobotanical assemblages identified in ancient and medieval silo pits correspond to in situ storage residues.
