My activity
My doctoral work, carried out as part of the ANR ISEMA project (PI: J. Ros), involves characterizing the impact of socio-economic and cultural changes taking place in the western Mediterranean (Spain, southern France) during the Middle Ages on fruit growing and the use of wooded landscapes. Therefore, I am studying anthracological assemblages from sites located in areas under Muslim, Christian or frontier influence, in order to reconstruct the state of the wooded landscape and the diversity of species exploited as a function of the socio-economic context. The focus is on fruit taxa, in order to study ancient agrobiodiversity and management practices linked to arboriculture (irrigation, manuring).
