My activity

I am a PhD student in the Sex and Speciation team and my work focuses on the consequences of an unusual sex-determination system in the African pygmy mouse, Mus minutoides. The African pygmy mouse is among the very few exceptions of the classical sex-determination system in mammals (XX/XY). Mus minutoides carry a third sex chromosome, X*, feminizing individuals with a Y chromosome and leading to three female genotypes in populations: XX, XX* and X*Y. I am particularly interested in the consequences of this system on the brain of individuals: transcriptome, behaviours and neural circuits.
Aside from my PhD project, I teach in the Biology-Ecology department of the Faculty of Sciences.
