My activity
Using population genomic tools (massive DNA and RNA sequencing), I address the role of natural selection (adaptive or resulting from genetic conflicts) to explain, after having characterised them, the following patterns:
– Genomic differentiation between closely related species and speciation genetics.
– Genetic introgression between closely related species, formation of hybrid zones.
– Differentiation and specialisation of sex chromosomes.
My favourite biological models are mice (genus Mus) and hare (genus Lepus).
