My activity

My PhD research focuses on sexual selection in plants, and more specifically on the application of models of female choice and male-male competition. To test these predictions, we use Brassica rapa populations that have evolved with or without sexual selection. In these evolutionary lines, we aim to quantify the evolution of pollen and pistil traits potentially involved in sexual selection processes, to assess their relationship with potential paternity biases in order to test for the presence of cryptic female choice, and to analyze the genetic correlations between these traits.
