My research focuses on the history of relations between human societies and animals in Western Mediterranean Europe, and more specifically on the dynamics of the exploitation of domestic and wild animal resources during the ancient and medieval periods. Within the DEMETER project (resp. A. Evin), which aims to understand the changes in animal and plant agrobiodiversity (pig, sheep, goat, barley) over the last eight millennia, I am working on the contextualization of archaeological samples and the analysis of archaeozoological data (specific and anatomical distributions, mortality profiles, sex ratio…).
