My activity
At the Institute of Evolutionary Sciences of Montpellier (ISEM), my research focuses on paleoecology and the long-term dynamics of Central African tropical ecosystems. I investigate vegetation, climate, and human interactions throughout the Holocene using lacustrine sedimentary archives. My work relies on multi-proxy approaches combining pollen analysis (palynology), sedimentary charcoal studies, and statistical analyses of environmental data. Additionally, I actively participate in training activities and interdisciplinary scientific collaborations between Europe and Africa, contributing to capacity building in environmental sciences and enhancing research on past and present biodiversity dynamics.
