My activity
My main research interest lies to reconstruct the history of terrestrial environments in order to improve the assessment of their future changes. As a specialist in Quaternary paleoecology, my current research focuses on plant ecosystems of the Southern Hemisphere and specifically on tropical ecosystems in both Africa and South America. Using pollen analysis of sediment archives associated with a multi-proxy and an interdisciplinary approach, I study past vegetation dynamic and response mechanisms to natural environmental and anthropogenic changes.
