My activity

My PhD thesis concerns genetic parallelism and structural variants. I will study several complexes of cryptic lineages of European marine species which have revealed a pattern of genetic parallelism between populations at the two ends of their range. I will examine strucutral variants (such as chromosomal inversions) to determine their potential role in parallel evolution. Finally I will compare patterns observed in the different complexes within the framwork of the evolution of marine species.
