My activity

I use sequencing data from hundreds of mosquitoes to assemble the pangenome of two malaria vectors twin species – Anopheles gambiae and Anopheles coluzzii – in order to study their diversity and identify variations within their genome. I am trying to link these variations to life-history traits (resistance to insecticides, local adaptation, etc.), but also to their speciation. I am also interested in the impact of transposable elements on the pangenome of these species.
