After a master’s degree in Forestry and the subsequent discovery of palaeoecology, I am interested in combining different proxies to reconstruct and interpret vegetation dynamics by placing them in a broader, longer-term, and multi-scale context.
I am currently exploring the millennium-long history of a remnant primary forest in South-Eastern Europe mountains, characterizing its natural and anthropogenic disturbance history using forest structures data together with paleo-ecological analyses (pollen, plant-macrofossils, non-pollen palynomorphs, and charcoal).
