My main research topic focuses on the diversity and evolution of a recently emerged aquatic virus, Cyprinid herpesvirus 3, which has recently emerged and causes high mortalities in carp farms. The objective of this work is to better understand its virulence pathways and spreading modes in traditional fish farms in Southeast Asia. Attracted by new technologies, I devote part of my research time to the development of innovative molecular solutions for the diagnosis of microorganisms, in partnership with SMEs. I am also co-responsible for a Master module of Montpellier University entitled BILL (“BioInformatics Learning Lab”).
– Scientific referent for IRD regional delegation of Montpellier
– Scientific manager of the high throughput qPCR platform of Labex CeMEB
– Co-responsible of the teaching units “Bioinformatics Learning Lab” (HAU802I) and “Molecular Microbial Ecology” (HAA804V) of the IMHE and BCD Masters of Montpellier University.
