My activity
My main research topic is the diversity and evolution of an aquatic virus, Cyprinid herpesvirus-3, which has recently emerged and is causing high mortalities in carp farms. The aim of this work is to better understand its virulence pathways and modes of propagation in traditional carp farms in Southeast Asia.
Convinced that frugal innovation represents an appropriate response not only to the ecological and climatic crises, but also to the challenges of North-South inequalities, I’m devoting part of my activity, in the frame of a start-up, to making idiagnostics of infectious disease accessible to all, particularly in the contexts of the South.
