As a PhD student holding an ARTS scholarship from the IRD, my research at ISEM, supervised by Vincent Montade at ISEM, focuses on reconstructing the history of vegetation and landscapes in the Highlands of Madagascar during the Holocene. I am studying lake and peat sediment cores using a multi-indicator approach combining palynology, charcoal analysis and spore analysis. My thesis is part of the MAD_Highlands research project, which aims to investigate the impact of anthropogenic and climatic forcings on past landscape dynamics.
