My activity

I am working on the speciation process, especially the relationship between the emergence of reproductive barriers along the genome and phylogenetic speciation.
I use molecular phylogenetic approaches to infer gene flow between species, in order to compare the dynamics of this gene flow at different scales, ranging from interclade comparisons to comparisons across kingdoms.
The second objective of my thesis is to determine if there is a correlation between the reduction in gene flow and the increase in the phylogenetic speciation rate in clades that have undergone evolutionary radiation, in particular in plants of the genera Tillandsia and Diospyros.
