My activity

My thesis research focuses on the soil microbiome, examining microbial interactions and their connections with forest ecosystems. This work is conducted under the project titled “NATURAL FOREST: Capture and Storage of Carbon in Natural Tropical Forests.” The study of diverse microbiomes in several habitats is tackled by the design of PCR primers using innovative in silico modeling methods. Soil DNA is extracted and sequenced using Oxford Nanopore Technology, a third-generation sequencing method. The research aims to identify key taxa that significantly contribute to degradation and play a major role in carbon cycling, while also assessing how these traits influence species abundance and the overall structure of soil microbial communities.
