I am an evolutionary biologist interested in the interplay between ecology, epidemiology and evolution in shaping host-parasite dynamics and infection outcomes. I use eco-evolutionary approaches, which have the potential to help evaluate the risk of outbreaks and control the evolution of virulent parasites. I am currently asking how environmental variation impacts disease prevalence, parasite diversity, and zoonotic risk in freshwater ecosystems by combining field work and eDNA data.
