My activity
My doctoral research focuses on the systematics and diversification of tropical weevils, particularly within the tribe Ochyromerini. I am especially interested in their specialized interactions with plants, notably their role as so-called “brood-site pollinators”. To this end, I develop phylogenomic tools using target capture sequencing data to reconstruct the phylogeny of this group, incorporating historical specimens from international entomological collections. My goal is to reconstruct the evolutionary history of this group in relation to their host plants, in order to better understand the evolution of mutualistic and antagonistic systems.
