My research combines empirical data and mathematical modelling to study different dynamical processes in physics and biology. Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher at ISEM, I collaborate with Dr. Vasilis Dakos to develop machine learning methods for detecting the potential risk of abrupt shifts in ecosystem states. Our overarching aim is to develop diagnostic tools that we can transfer to other researchers and policy makers responsible for assessing and managing natural ecosystems.
