My activity
As an evolutionary biologist, I am interested in the mechanisms underlying species diversification and population declines in tropical regions. In particular, my research focus on
– Identifying key mechanisms driving intraspecific diversity in tropical regions
– Assessing the primary triggers of population declines of island endemics, from the last Interglacial period to present-day conditions
– Enhancing our understanding of seabird connectivity across different spatial scales
– Improve knowledge of past Quaternary climatic changes in lowland habitats of Madagascar and their influence on lemur population dynamics
– Investigating how ongoing habitat loss and fragmentation affect lemur genetic diversity and connectivity
