My activity

I am a researcher in evolutionary genomics, specializing in sex chromosomes, epigenetics, and sexual differentiation in plants. I study the evolution of sexual systems using various models, particularly within Caryophyllaceae and Amaranthaceae. My approach combines comparative analyses of genomes, epigenomes, transcriptomes, and phenotypes. I rely on bioinformatics tools and both genomic and epigenomic techniques (including DNA methylation, histone modifications, and small RNAs). A central focus of my work is genomic imprinting, where maternal and paternal alleles are differentially expressed. I am also interested in the evolution of sexual dimorphism, which I investigate through phenotypic measurements of male and female individuals across different Silene species. My research adopts an integrative approach at the crossroads of genomics, evolutionary biology, and the biology of sexual systems.
