I am a palynologist, paleoecologist. My research area examines how tropical South American ecosystems respond to climate changes and human impact from pollen, spores and charcoal particles deposited in lacustrine or marsh sediments. My covered time scales range from the last decade to million years mainly in the Cerrados, the Brazilian Atlantic forest, the Brazilian semiarid, and Andean cloud forest.
