As a biologist specialising in paleoecology, my work focuses on the reconstruction of paleovegetation and paleoclimate in the Quaternary, particularly since the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) and the Holocene in tropical savannas.  I specialise in analysing pollen, NPP and charcoal particles in sediments. I am personally interested in disentangling the effects of disturbances (natural or anthropogenic) on tropical ecosystems and their resilience. I am currently working on the MadeoGen project, which aims to address vegetation dynamics during the late Holocene in Madagascar, with a particular focus on the landscape before and after human settlement.
