My activity

I am interested in the impact of anthropogenic pressures on biodiversity through theoretical approaches coupled with a more global view of the associated management and conservation issues. My thesis, supervised by Claire Jacquet, focuses on the study and modeling of the effect of extreme climate events (e.g. heat waves) on river fish communities. This thesis combines the use of theoretical models with global climate, physiological, and demographic databases (time series). I will address issues of stability, resilience, connectivity, and extinction risk of fish communities in the face of extreme events that tend to increase in frequency, intensity, and spatial extent.
