Systematics and evolution of Selachian faunas of the Cretaceous and Tertiary formations of North Africa (Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt), the Near East (Israel, Jordan, Syria), West Africa (Senegal, Togo, Guinea Bissau, Angola), North America (USA and Canada) and South America (Bolivia). Study of the teeth of the current Chondrichthyans. Management of a database on post-Triassic and current Selachians.

The Institute of Evolutionary Science of Montpellier (ISEM – University of Montpellier, CNRS, IRD, EPHE, CIRAD, INRAP) has been focusing research on biodiversity origins and dynamics and the associated evolutionary mechanisms.
