Although the ecological dynamics in ecosystem with tipping points (the self-sustained shift of a system from one state to another) are well studied, the interplay between tipping point responses, ecosystem resilience and the phenotypic structure of populations are poorly understood. The overall goal of this thesis is to develop a theoretical framework for understanding how eco-evolutionary dynamics could affect and could be affected by tipping point responses.
