My research focus on Holocene paleoecology through the study of past fire dynamics, vegetation and climate variability in Russian boreal forest and also in Mongolian and Circumcaspien area forest-steppe-biome. I work with different proxies from lacustrine and peat sediment cores, such as macro charcoals, pollen grains and brGDGTs. I also use pollen transfer functions to reconstruct past climatic parameters.
