Another part of my research focuses on tooth histology (enameloid microstructure) and its phylogenetic and adaptive signal among chondrichthyans. To a greater extent, I am interested in the understanding of macroevolutionary patterns of various \u201cfish\u201d groups (chondrichthyans and osteichthyans) and other marine vertebrates. This is based on the analysis of the fossil record with the aim of understanding the biotic and abiotic factors underpinning the evolutionary history of these groups over the past 250 million years.
