I am working on data from mouse populations from the Iran region. A recent study on those populations have confirmed the existence of an "hybrid swarm" population in the center of Iran, with a genetic composition that cannot be explained by a simple demographic scenario of divergence from an ancestral population (without introgression/admixture). My objectifs are to characterize the demographic scenario that originated this population, to seek for putative genomic region linked to incompatibilities and to understand the mechanismes that led to the curious introgression of the chromosome Y of a sister lineage.
