Following the example of research carried out in animals, my work involves experimentally exploring the ability of the female function to favor one sexual partner over another during reproduction, in line with the fundamental hypothesis of sexual selection models. My work aims to identify (i) the female reproductive traits potentially involved in this partner "choice" and (ii) the male reproductive traits on which this female preference might be based. I am particularly interested in the interactions between pistil and pollen traits after pollination, i.e. once the pollen grains have been deposited on the stigma. To this end, I carry out crosses by hand pollination and measure plant characteristics such as pistil size and width, pollen grain diameter and pollen tube size. &nbsp; &nbsp;</description></oembed>
