I use fossil records to estimate past climate changes, to analyze the tree species long-term adaptation, resilience or extinction, to reconstruct dynamically their past ranges and to identify potential areas where they may persist under the ongoing climate change. These past ecological reconstructions are meant to contribute to a better management of the mountain resources and to help protecting endangered mountain tree species.
